About the A.S.A.

“The purpose for which this corporation is formed is to create fraternity among all showmen in this vicinity and elsewhere in the United States, to bring about good fellowship among showmen, to provide for a common meeting place and maintain club rooms and all lawful things incident thereto, to promote the welfare of such showmen, to provide comfort and assistance in the time of sickness and to provide Christian burial for its members who are in need of the same.”

The Arizona Showmen’s Association, Inc. was organized in Phoenix, Arizona, December 5th, 1945, as a non-profit organization.  A charter was formed and filed with the Arizona Corporation Commission December 20, 1945.

A beautiful tract in Greenwood Memorial Cemetery was purchased for the A.S.A. members.  Since that original purchase another tract has been added.  There is a large marble head stone that signifies this area.

The Association receives numerous requests for aid and assistance from unfortunate show people each year and furnishes help where we can.

Each winter, the Association sponsors an annual banquet and ball, golf tournament, past president’s party, memorial service and an opportunity for all show people to gather and give thanks for what we have and remember those who have lead the way.

If you are a showman or associated with the show business and would like to be a member of this fine institution, join now.  Dues are $25.00 per year.

Additional information, Membership Blanks, fund raising information, schedules of upcoming events and meetings will gladly be sent upon request.

Mailing address: P.O. Box 1609, Phoenix, AZ 85001
